When message volume grows, the reservation team ends up spending a large part of the day answering the same questions from travelers who are just starting their research. Malai Manso Resort, in Chapada dos Guimarães (Mato Grosso, Brazil), found a way to change that routine.
In this success story, you’ll see how the resort used AI automation and segmented campaigns to free up its human team for the hottest opportunities, while turning its reservation assistant into a sales generator.
About Malai Manso Resort
Malai Manso Resort Yacht Convention & Spa sits on the shores of Lake Manso, in the Chapada dos Guimarães region of Mato Grosso, about an hour and a half from Cuiabá.
It is an all-inclusive resort designed as a complete destination: a water park with more than 3,000 square meters of pools, a spa, a sports complex, adventure activities, leisure programming for all ages, and a convention center that hosts corporate and social events.
The operation therefore serves two audiences with very different buying journeys: families looking for a vacation and corporate clients planning an event. This helps explain why segmentation became a central part of the strategy.

The Challenge: High Message Volume Concentrated at the Top of the Funnel
Malai Manso’s customer service team handled a high volume of messages, and a large share of them were early-stage requests in the buying journey.
These are legitimate and necessary questions, but repetitive ones: what’s included in the all-inclusive package, how to get there, which room categories are available, whether there are facilities for children. Answered manually, one by one, they took up the time of agents who could be negotiating with travelers closer to making a decision.
The practical effect is familiar to any reservation center. The more time the team spends on the top of the funnel, the less energy is left for conversations that truly require negotiation, context, and commercial sensitivity.
The Solution: Automation Guiding the Journey and More Personalized Campaigns
Malai Manso’s response had two fronts that work together.
The first was letting the AI reservation assistant handle top-of-funnel interactions. As a result, agents began focusing on the most qualified opportunities, with the highest conversion potential.
But the assistant’s role didn’t stop at filtering. When a conversation doesn’t require human intervention, the AI guides the traveler from first contact all the way to completing the booking. In these cases, the sale belongs to the AI.
Thanks to this strategy, from January to July 2026, Malai Manso Resort ranked first in direct sales made by AI among Asksuite’s resort clients.
The second front was the evolution of its campaigns. Starting in December 2025, the resort and Asksuite stepped up their work together with segmentation and personalization strategies, with one clear goal: delivering increasingly relevant content for each traveler’s profile and stage in the buying journey.
Instead of speaking to everyone the same way, the resort began speaking to each group in the right way. This shift increased engagement and, in turn, conversion rates.
The Roadmap to Success: Segment, Personalize, Guide, and Optimize
The evolution followed four steps:
- Segment: split contact lists by profile and buying stage, instead of treating all contacts as a single block.
- Personalize: tailor the message, offer, and approach to each segment.
- Guide: let the AI guide the traveler throughout the entire journey, with the human team stepping into the highest-value conversations.
- Optimize: track campaign results and continuously adjust the strategy.
The Impact: The AI Assistant as the Main Sales Channel
Malai Manso has been an Asksuite client for several years, and the strategic shift that began in December 2025 quickly showed up in the numbers.
The AI reservation assistant reached first place in sales, ahead of all other channels.
This result goes beyond operational efficiency. It shows that automation, when well fed and well segmented, stops being just a service filter and becomes a tool for generating and converting sales.
This combination is the heart of the case: segmented, personalized campaigns on one side, and an assistant capable of guiding the traveler to the end of the journey on the other. Automation delivers relevant communication at scale. The human team steps in where negotiation calls for a personal touch.
